Happy Easter

Great day here today!

Church was fun. It was Easter Sunday so lots of people were dressed to the nines. Then it was also a Baptism Sunday, so that's always cool. There 10 or so scheduled baptisms and 37 unscheduled, where people came out of the congregation and were baptised. Pretty awesome.

The boys demanded a Easter Egg Hunt. Holly and I thought that we were beyond that, but I can see that they are hoping to continue the tradition well into the future. Here's the boys with their goods.

Have a great day!

Happy Easter

Today we went to a friend's church to see their Easter Production. Wow. It was amazing. There had to have been over 200 people in the production. And that's just the actors. Cecile B. DeMille would have been proud. It was a contemporary story about a group of college kids with flashbacks to the Gospels. I laughed, I cried, it moved me.

Our hope and prayer from the West Michigan side of the clan is that everyone have a blessed Easter. And remember, the reason for the joy was that the tomb was empty, He has risen indeed!
Have a great Easter!

NCAA Final 4, GO Michigan State!

Brr. It's April, the end of March Madness and we're supposed to get snow. Actually, the "major" winter storm just went north of us. I so want to go for a nice motorcycle ride. Oh, sure, I've put over a hundred miles on so far, but with the cool temps, it's not as much fun as I had hoped.
I'd predict the winner of the Michigan State vs. North Carolina final game, but I haven't watched both teams enough. The local favorite is MSU and so that's good enough in our house. One thing that I am sure of; Detroit will not let us down. Someone has already mugged the mayor of Cleveland and stolen his cell phone. Go Detroit!
Holly and the boys went out today and went to the Library. Wow, you can see below that Ian's really bored, he checked out the new Tom Clancy book and is quickly devouring it. No screens, but the internal ones activated by imagination and a good book, still available.
Here's Spencer, not such a heavy reader this Spring Break. He's checked out 3 different "Sherman's Lagoon" comic collections. I'm more in line with that!
Have a great day!

Spring clean up

Hello and Happy Saturday to one and all.

I have finally come out from under the huge amount of work that is a product launch for one of our key customers. While it's not done yet, it's way closer than we were last week and I am sure to be getting it done now!

The boys and I went and worked in the yard for a few hours this afternoon and as a reward, I allowed Ian to play some video games. Remember, he's been banned from video games since we saw his dismal grades last term. Here he is, trying to capture them all in a single session. Play Station is the Guitar Hero guitar, Xbox is the controller in his right hand and the WII is the white blob in his left hand. Over the top!

Have a great day!

A cold and dreary Sunday

I am making a break here, the post titles are now up for grabs. The Blog/Email, is still called Photo of the day. But since I am not daily anymore, I will try to title the post to the topic contained within.

It snowed today. Not fair! It's been warm, I've run a tank of gas through the Honda, it's really Spring. No, I'm sure of it. Patience is for others, not for me. Maybe next year.

I have a Birthday Shout Out for my Brother Jeff!
Dude, when did we decide to get older?
I am so sorry, but all I have is the shots from the big get togethers.
This shot is from the Holiday Inn in Austin.
I think this was taken at my dad's funeral.
Jeff, have an awesome day, you deserve it!

Photo of the day, Friday

Good grief! It's Friday already. How did that happen? No matter, it's all good!

Holly update; She's walking, driving, shopping, and generally back in charge. Whew, I really missed her steady hand on the family tiller/schedule.

I have a Birthday Shout Out to Dan. Dan is, I think, Holly's third cousin's husband, or some sort of relation such as that. Dan's a great guy that is so techno savvy he makes my head hurt. Dan, I did look for photo's but I didn't have any of my own. Maybe we should do dinner again some time and I could get a fresh set of photos.
It's a great looking family, BJ, Ginger, Dan and Taylor.

Have a great day!
