Yesterday was a stormy day here. I was really glad that I drove the car to work, but after work, well, I was Jones'n for a ride on the Honda. Holly was setting up a table to sell jewelry at one of the Polish halls that Grand Rapids is known for. I picked up the boys and we hit Buffalo Wild Wings, Holly's least favorite place that we boys love. After dinner I took the boys home and reviewed my options.
I had promised Holly that I would be back to help her carry her stuff out. 2 reasons, her wing is still bad and the neighborhood is one of those that are reminiscent of Clint Eastwood's in Gran Torino, rough and run down.
I put on the leathers and then the rain suit and headed out. The first 3 miles were dry, after that, well, I've ridden in worse storms. The nice thing was that it was warm out, so even though I was getting soaked in some spots, at least it wasn't that miserable, cold kind of wet.
Today we did a bit of yard work. GASP! I know, it's hard to believe, between Holly and me, one of us has been out of commission for the past three summers. Here's a shot of the front bed. We pulled out the shrubs that have been there since we'd bought the house and in their place are 2 varieties of day lilies. I think this will look really cool when it fills out.
I'm also throwing in a shot of Spencer playing in the water, I love his youthful approach to life!
Have a great day!
