Rainy Days don't get me down

It was a great day up here, even if we did get over an inch of rain. I went to my Men's group and hung out, back at home we did our chores and then we had dinner at Jeff and Lissa's. It's always great to catch up with them. Jeff's a great technical guy so he's always working on a new thing that is usually intriguing. Lissa, she's a great cook and a good friend. Together they are just plain fun to hang out with. Tonight we had chicken and "Patty's Potatoes". We had given her the recipe years ago after a dinner club when Holly had made them. They are made with shredded potatoes and then lots of cheese and topped off with drizzled cream. I bit into them and was immediately transported back to 1400 7th Ave. Awesome!

Here's a GREAT BIG Birthday Shout Out to my Brother, Chris. Happy Birthday Big Guy! I hope this is a great year for you! And now for the obligatory photos.

Friday Night Special

The end of a long week...Aaaahhh!!

I think bits and pieces today.

It was awesome riding the motorcycle today. It was pretty hard on me when I got it all cleaned up last weekend and then couldn't ride due to the rain.

I got your message Maureen. I found it amusing that the rider reminded you of me, until he nearly took out a deer. The closest I've been to an animal situation with my cycle was when a hawk swooped down and snatched up a gopher. That was years ago, near Owatanno Minnesota, on my first Honda 750.

Went to a wedding tonight. Very non traditional, very old fashioned, very nice. It was the pastors first wedding. It was the bride and groom's second. The used a Chuppah which looks like this, to say their vows under. Anyway, it was a really nice time. The Chuppah is a Jewish device, but the pastor wove it nicely into a Christian service.

Have a great day!

Here it is, another week, hard fought victory or loss? It was at least hard fought, so then it must be a victory.
As you can tell, work is kicked up a notch and I am doing the best that I can. There is comfort in that, but I still want it to go smoother.

Today I was at a customer for Supplier Day. A nice time where we were asked to reduce costs by more than can be achieved. Thanks for the challenge, we'll get back to you. Actually it was a nice event, with good people saying that they appreciated what we did on a day to day basis. Best of all, we won an award, always cool to be counted in the best of the best.

This shot is of my Nephew Taylor' he's to the far right.

Sunday's Child

Sunday is such a busy day, I'm not sure how we got so far from a day of rest as it was intended. No matter, it was a pretty great day.

We had a good time in the Fort with the kids. Ian runs the sound, Spencer is our lead air guitar specialist during the music and I just love hanging out and visiting with the kids.

Holly led out a song today and she really rocked it out. Tons of people came up and said I was a pretty lucky guy to be married to such a talented lady. I assured them that I knew it, and occasionally took credit for being her vocal coach, no one believed me.

Tonight we are going to a nearby Applebee's for dessert and a little music as provided by a friend. The boys and I just finished a light dinner to save room for a dessert. Yum!

Last, but certainly not least, here's a birthday shout out to my Father In Law, Bob. You are an awesome guy, thanks for all that you do for us. I hope that this is a great year for you!
