Well, what do you know, I forgot to get the camera and both boys were dressed up for Trick or Treating. You'll have to do with description. Ian was dressed as a boy scout, not sure of the stretch there. Spencer went as a "Substitute Creeper", which was comprised of a high waisted pair of pants, button down shirt and a loud red and blue plaid blazer. Very nice!
Hey there, Hi there, Ho there! Kelsey is the subject of our Birthday Shout out. She is my absolute favorite niece. She's overseas doing some teaching right now that's pretty cool. Anyway, I went through my old camera files and came up with the following photo montage. Here's looking at you kid!
Always a cutie.
Fashionable to the max.
Not afraid to take down her cousin Ian

Halloween Eve
Boo! Did I scare you? I didn't think so.
Today was our Halloween party at work. Usually it's a pretty great affair with the WeeFolk daycare kids coming over and trick or treating in the factory. That always lightens up the day when the little ones walk through where we work. But wait, due to a torrential down pour today, no WeeFolk parade. From then on it was a rather flat event. No real fun, just a few folks dressed up. Everyone seemed to be a bit down. Of course I dressed to the nines again, as you can see below. I was asked which western hero, I answered; 'all of them'.
Since it was raining cats and dogs Holly wore a hat for most of the day. After much gentle coaxing and lots of assurances, I talked her into removing the hat. Trouble was, the hat had not been kind to her hair. Since I think she's still cute I took the picture. Obviously, we need to connect better.
The boys are always at the ready to be helpful and ... Oh, yeah, they do like to play games, but really, they will do what it takes to help. I have seen it, they are awesome!
Have a great day!

Wacky Wednesday!
It was a jam packed day here today. I was in meetings all morning and into the afternoon and then, off I went to a project party where we celebrated the completion, or at least near completion of a very large project. We went to Smokey Bones and ate a ton of ribs and had a few beers. After an hour of recapping the project we went on to world peace. A great night to be sure. If you ever get by a Smokey Bones, you should try it, it's awesome.
Frank sent me a really cool slide presentation on the glories of golf and and some stunning photos of holes. I was really taken by these two slides.

Oh, yeah, the following is an excerpt from an email as to my nephew Taylor's time left overseas:
Those of you using Facebook probably know more than me about his schedule but he called this morning, has about 2 weeks left in Iraq then back to Germany, take some time off and looking at getting discharged in February. Has had some contact with that government contract employer and is optimistic that he’ll have a job right after getting discharged. As always, his standard response to his current situation is ‘bored’, which is good. Mostly getting things cleaned up and ready for their replacements. Weather is windy and rainy. He’s still living in a tent. But sounded good and is anxious to get back to Germany. Says ‘hi’ to all.
Hmm, living in a tent that long, yeah, I'd be bored too!
Have a great day!

Popcorn Sales
We are getting close with our popcorn sales and if you're able to help us out, let me know.
Those close by, just send me an email and I'll order it and deliver it in person.
Those further away, well, there is the Internet method. If you're interested in that, please let me know about that as well.
Hey! Ian and Spencer here. We are selling popcorn again, which benefits our local scout troop, and we were wondering if you would like to buy any from us. We have all the examples below this, and although it is a bit pricey, it does benefit the scouts completely. The popcorn has gotten two thumbs up from every one including Spencer! By the way, did you know that we have an online portion this year? Last year, scarcely any went to scouts. But this year, they are giving over 70% to troop 282 of Belmont. Please let us know if you are interested as soon as possible and we’ll figure out the best way to get it to you. Thanks! Ian and Spencer

Sunday
It was a great day at church today, Baptism Sunday always is. It's cool to see the lives that have been changed. After the people that had signed up were done they opened it up to anyone else. Many people made the decision on the spot. It was a cold and chilly day outside, but they still were totally immersed. Very powerful.
Since we were all up late last night we came back and napped for a bit in the afternoon and then back to the church for "Trunk or Treating".

This is the annual tradition where we open up our cars and kids go from trunk to trunk getting candy. It's a nice neighborhood outreach. Some trunks get pretty carried away, others, it's just a place to hand out candy, no special steps taken. Here's Holly's and Ian's trunks. Holly did her car and Ian took over my trunk. They both are very nice.
